New Zealand Consulate lauds the
humanitarian role of Correctional & Punitive Dept.
Brigadier Yousuf Abul Kareem, Director of Abu Dhabi Police Correctional & Punitive Department received a delegation from the New Zealand Consulate. The visit was part of the Department’s keenness to coordinate with different Diplomatic Missions to brief them on the conditions of their inmate subjects.
Jennifer Tham and Clair Riro, both from New Zealand Consulate, listened to a detailed presentation about the programs and facilities provided by the Department as well as the methods of treating inmates in the jails.
The delegation was briefed about the conditions and needs of their inmate subjects, expressing their impression over Abu Dhabi Police good reputation and humane treatment. Inmates, on their turn, have expressed their appreciation for all those in charge of Correctional Facilities Department.
