Organized by the Medical Services Administration, the fourth Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Meeting will begin tomorrow at The Fairmont Bab Al Bahr Hotel in Abu Dhabi.

The three-day gathering target radiologists, orthopedists, sport medicine physicians and surgeons, Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation Professionals, rheumatologists, anesthetists, vascular surgeons, and emergency doctors.

The meeting addresses the diagnostic use of ultrasound in detection and treatment of musculoskeletal disorders. It will include two simultaneous courses; the third Basic Course and the First Intermediate Course. Both courses contain lecture sessions together with Demo and Hands On training instructed by High Caliber Faculty of international experts representing different medical schools.

The Abu Dhabi Police Medical Services Administration aims to be a local, regional and International training center for such kind of courses.

Being a relatively recent procedure in the Musculoskeletal field, the  use of ultrasound saves a lot of time for diagnosing a variety of conditions apart from its advantages in using guided therapeutic injections that may save some cases from being exposed to surgery.
