For any potential fog formation in the city of Al Ain and its suburbs, the Abu Dhabi Police Traffic and Patrols Directorate, represented by Al Ain Traffic section, has issued directives to motorists to drive safely.

Acting head of the section, Major Mohsin Al Mansouri urged all road users to take into their considerations weather changes and fog formation while driving.
They must abide by traffic rules, drive cautiously, and leave an ample room between their vehicles and those in front.

Safe distance during foggy conditions should be greater than in normal situations, he noted.

Motorists should curb speeding, observe speed limits, and slow down while driving on bends and as approaching intersections to be prepared for any possible fog formation that may prevent them from viewing vehicles coming from the other direction, he moreover urged.

They are also requested to drive carefully as force of friction between the tires and the road gets weaker, causing the vehicle to slip and making it harder for them to bring their cars to a stop.
