The Ministry of Interior, represented by the Federal anti-Narcotics Directorate General, participates in the National Exhibition for Community Awareness and Humanitarian Services “Tawiyah 2011” which was inaugurated on Monday by Hussein Saeed Al Sheikh Undersecretary at the Ministry of Social Affairs, with a wide participation of many ministries, government and civil society organizations.
The exhibition, held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center ADNEC, is organized by the Ministry of Social Affairs on 14-16 November, with the purpose of boosting community awareness of drug abuse harms, said director of Federal anti-Narcotics Directorate General, Lt Colonel Saeed Abdullah Al Suwaidi.
The pavilion of the directorate general has attracted huge audience especially school students who were impressed with posters, brochures, children stories and the audiovisual effects which address the reasons and harms of drug abuse as well as means of protection, pointed out Lt Colonel Abdurrahman Al Owais, Director of Drugs Evaluation and Control Center at the Federal anti-Narcotics Directorate General.
