The Al Ain Punitive and Correctional Institution Department celebrated the graduation of the second session of Vehicle Mechanics Workshop 2012. The workshop, which is part of the inmates’ rehabilitation program, implemented by the Jumaa Al Majed Corporation, in collaboration with the Punitive and Correctional Institution Department at Abu Dhabi Police, included a number of inmates from the Al Ain Punitive and Correctional Institution.
Captain Hamad Saif AL Shamsi, Director of rehabilitation and Training Division at the Al Ain Punitive and Correctional Institution, commended the partners’ efforts, cooperation and understanding of the requirements of rehabilitation and reform.
In his speech at the ceremony, Al Shamsi emphasized the importance of these professional workshops and their role in reforming the inmates’ behavior, develop their skills and well invest their time.
For his part, Engineer Sulaiman Al Said, Director of Training and Technical Support Department at the Jumaa Al Majed Corporation, explained that the training programs, courses and workshops are of significant benefit to inmates and qualify them for the labor market.
A number of inmates took turn in delivering a speech; praising the attention and care they are given as well as the experience they acquired from the workshop.
At the end of the ceremony, Captain Hamad Saif AL Shamsi, accompanied by Engineer Sulaiman Al Said, distributed certificates to the participants, wishing them luck and success. A commemorative shield was also presented to the Jumaa Al Majed Corporation’s representative.
The ceremony was attended by a number of officers from Al Ain Punitive and Correctional Department, along with supervisors and trainers from the Jumaa Al Majed Corporation.
