The Community Police Institute celebrated the graduation of the second batch of students after completing a course on local community protection. A total of 15 graduates from the various Abu Dhabi police departments, took part in the ceremony, held at the Sheraton Khalidiya hotel.

Lt. Colonel Mubarak Bin Muhairom, Director of Community Police Department and Police Sciences indicated that the course is an important one, and is organized upon the directives of the police leadership, and falls within the continuous police strategy to promote safety and security in our society.

He added that the course focused on acquainting the trainees with the basic and advanced concepts and experiences in the field of protection of local communities, major cities and various neighborhoods. It also introduced students to the outstanding international practices in security protection, as well as the successful experiences to develop skills and methods that can be used in the future in this area.

Lecturers at the course included Dr. Mohammad Tariq Ghafoor, Training and Development Advisor to British Police, who focused on major topics related to the requirements of physical, technical and human security; as well as on information security, learning project and practical cases, and other topics relevant to police and security work.
