French civil defence delegation visited the Technical Rescue and Quick Intervention Section affiliated to the Emergency and Public Safety Department on Sunday to get acquainted with the tasks of the section and its technical equipments.
The delegation was received by Col. Mohammed Al Tamimi, director of Emergency and Public Safety Department and a number of police officers. He briefed the visiting delegation about the tasks and duties of the Department, and its humane roles in the society. He reviewed numerous issues in emergency and safety field, in addition to way to enhance mutual cooperation in regards to sharing of expertise and training.
A document on the Department has also been screened.
The delegation toured the Technical Rescue and Quick Intervention Section where it was briefed on the modern equipment. The delegation praised the advanced level attained by the Section and its keenness to train its personnel, and provide all necessary modern equipment to handle emergency situations and incidents.
