Director of the Westerns Region Police Directorate, Brigadier Hamad bin Terais Al Dhaheri, stressed that visitors and participates of Al Dhafra Camel Festival will receive the best services during the event which will begin today “ Saturday” under the slogan “ to be where the public like us to be”.
Community police units will take part in the festival to interact and help participants and visitors, and offer all services at the traditional souq held at the site of the festival, Al Dhaheri said.
Members of the public can call 0503242471 to request for services or any other inquiries. Police and traffic patrols have also been tasked with regulating traffic at the venue, he said.
He appealed to the public to seek assistance from police agencies deployed at the venue and the roads leading to it.
Gifts will be presented to the winners of police contests held during the festival.
