Capital Police celebrates end of sport season
Abu Dhabi Police Capital Directorate has lately celebrated the end of the sport season 2010-2011 at the Police Officers Club, in the presence of Brigadier Maktoum Al Shareefi, director of the Capital Police, Colonel Abdul Hakeem Al Suwaidi, head of sport committee and a number of officers, partners and sponsors of the team.
On behalf of Major General Mohammed Al Awadhi Al Menhali, director of police operations, Al Shareefi delivered a word in which he praised the support given by police leadership for all sport activities. Thanks to this support, the football team of the Directorate won several local and international championships, said Al Shareefi in his word.
He thanked all organizing bodies, institutions, sport clubs and all that contributed to the success of the team. He also thanked sponsors of the team which achieved 20 local and outside championships last of which was the Cup of Umm Al Quwain Crown Prince.
During the ceremony, members of the sport committee, the sport team, partners and sponsors were honored. Sport Federation for Government Institutions has awarded an appreciation certificate to Brigadier Al Shareefi in recognition of his efforts.
