An American Delegation from the US Immigration and Customs Department, led by Peter Vincent, Principal Legal Advisor, acting assistant director for international affairs for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), visited the Emirates Institute for Naturalization Residency and Port Affairs in Abu Dhabi, as part of the activation of the cooperation agreement signed by the Emirates Institute for Naturalization Residency and Port Affairs and the U.S Department of Homeland Security.
At the Institute’s headquarters, the delegation was greeted by Colonel Saeed Salem Al Shamsi, Director of the Abu Dhabi General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs; Major Abdulrahman Al Zaabi, Acting Director of the Emirates Institute for Naturalization Residency and Port Affairs as well as a number of the Institute’s officers and experts.
During the visit, the American Delegation got acquainted with the various activities and programs offered by the Institute, and their development since the signing of the cooperation agreement between both parties back in 2010. The delegation also toured the Institute and listened to a brief explanation about the training programs the institute provides for the trainees.
The delegation expressed their admiration and appreciation for the efforts exerted to build capabilities and provide technical competencies at the Institute. The delegation also praised the mutual collaboration between the two parties and reiterated its full commitment to the partnership with the Emirates Institute for Naturalization Residency and Port Affairs in various fields.
