Major General Obaid Al Hairi Salem Al Ketbi, Deputy Commander General of Abu Dhabi Police, Vice Chairman of the Higher Security Committee for Formula One, reviewed the role of the participating entities in organizing the Etihad Airways Grand Prix which will take place on November 4th in Abu Dhabi.
Al Ketbi chaired the first preliminary meeting, held in Yas Island, which was attended by representatives of the organizing parties, where he reviewed the programs, work mechanisms and visions of these parties.
He underscored the importance of coordination and cooperation among participating parties and working with a team spirit, stressing the need to implement the highest regulatory standards, to address the needs of increasing numbers of attendees, participants and visitors and provide all security and support means, which reflects the civilized image of the state.
Al ketbi further added that the Formula One races are attended by huge crowds and followers, and covered by media outlets, stressing the importance of maintaining the success achieved and highlighting the event properly.
The meeting was attended by Abdullah Khouri, Executive Director of Government Affairs; Brigadier Faris Khalifa Al Faresi, Director General of Guards and Special Tasks at Abu Dhabi Police, and representatives of the organizing parties.
