Al Ain Traffic calls for slowing down at pedestrians crossing

Motorists have been urged to slow down on approaching pedestrians crossing, give them priority to cross, stop safely before zebra lines, cause pedestrians to feel safe while crossing and avoid driving quickly.

The call was made by Al Ain Traffic Section which distributed brochures highlighting the proper way to stop at pedestrian crossings and the right time for pedestrians to cross the road, to avoid any possible risks.

The awareness program covered various nationalities at main roads of the city, mainly those roads which become crowded during rush hours.

“The campaign was part of a comprehensive vision of Abu Dhabi Police GHQ to disseminate traffic culture among the segments of the society”, said Major Mohsin Al Mansouri, acting chief of Al Ain Traffic and Patrols Section, and head of the committee for reducing run-over accidents in Al Ain.
