As part of the Sports Excellence Shield points program for 2013, the Al Ain Police Directorate ranked first in the 12th ADP Swimming Championship by achieving 155 points. The Championship, organized by the Strategy and Performance Development Department, was held at the Police Officers Club. The Emergency and Public safety Department ranked second with 97 points; and the Government and Diplomatic Establishments Protection Department Team came third with 97 points.
Major Mohammed Obaid Al Falahi, Head of Sports Activities section at the Strategy and Performance Development, distributed the Championship Shield and trophies to the winning teams as well as the medals to winners of individual competitions. Moreover, he expressed his sincere congratulations to all winners, wishing them further sports achievements.
For his part, First Lieutenant Jamal Al Saadi, Director of Sports Teams and Competitions at the Department indicated that in the individual competition of 50 meter free style, results were as follows: Ahmed Khalfan from the Government and Diplomatic Establishments Protection Department won first place; Khaled Salem from the Emergency and Public safety Department came second; and Ammar Moussa’ed from the Criminal Evidence Department came third.
In the 50 meter backstroke, Mohammad Al Ghaferi from the Al Ain Police Directorate won first place; Ammar Moussa’ed from the Criminal Evidence Department ranked second and Abdullah Nassib from the Al Ain Police Directorate came third.
The 12th ADP Swimming Championship also featured a 100 meter free style competition. Results were as follows: Mohammad Al Ghaferi won first place, followed by Ammar Moussa’ed in second place and Abdullah Nassib in third place.
Concluding, First Lieutenant Jamal Al Saadi added that at the teams’ level, the Al Ain Police Directorate ranked first, the ICT Department ranked second, followed by the Government and Diplomatic Establishments Protection Department in third place.
