Abu Dhabi police train 170 housewives in Al Ain on first aids
 

As many as 170 housewives have been trained in administering first aid in an extensive campaign launched by the Emergency and Public Safety Department in Al Ain.

The campaign was held in coordination with the community police branches at the police stations in Al Ain. The two-week-long drive covered Zayed Higher Foundation for Humanitarian Care, Family Development Foundation, Al Hili Residential Compound and some centers in Al Ain.

It aimed at raising the culture of first aid among housewives to prepare them to deal with several 
domestic incidents.

The campaign included some theoretical lectures and practical training on how to deal with domestic accidents and emergencies like minor burns, wounds, suffocation and high body temperature of children, swallowing solid objects, bleeding and fractures apart from how to perform a cardiac and mouth-to-mouth resuscitation.
