The Abu Dhabi Police, represented by Telecommunications and Information Technology Department, received the award for the best collaborative project of year 2012 during the International Network Awards in the Middle East . The event was organized by the International Computer News Institution- Middle East, and was held at the Atlantis Hotel in Dubai.
Colonel Anwar Abdullah Al Mulla, Director of the Telecommunications and Information Department in the Abu Dhabi Police said: “This international recognition reasserts the Abu Dhabi Police’s commitment to apply the highest quality standards to provide the best police services.”
Captain Mohammed Saad Al Khanbashi, Head of the Telecommunications Division in the Information Technology Department clarified: “The Abu Dhabi Police and along with four other institutions reached the finals of this international award to be chosen eventually as the best collaborative project in the Middle East. The award is considered to be the first of its kind in the Middle East.”
Al Khanbashi pointed out that through the award winning project, the Abu Dhabi Police is seeking to build an integrated telecommunications structure to transfer audio, images, and information. This structure will provide a unique telecommunications center to serve all individuals of society and those who want to communicate with different police departments through old tools and new ones.
