A delegation from the General Directorate of Forensic Identification and Scientific Research of the Dubai Police benchmarked the initiatives and projects undertaken by the Abu Dhabi Police Forensic Identification Department and was briefed on its goal to apply best practices and global standards in the police field through continuous improvement.
In his office, Colonel Abdul Rahman Al Hammadi, Director of Forensic Identification Department in Abu Dhabi Police, welcomed the visit of Dubai Police’s delegation, which was headed by Colonel Fahed Sultan Al Suwaidi from the General Directorate of Forensic Identification in Dubai Police. A meeting was held where the delegation was informed about the Abu Dhabi Police forensic identification management strategy that aims to reach the ranks of the best forensic identification laboratories worldwide by 2030.
The delegation toured a number of sections in the department, and viewed a presentation on the Vidlimer System that is concerned with managing the department’s lab information, and tracking and processing that information.
The visit facilitates the exchange of experiences and expertise in addition to enhancing the cooperation between the police agencies and institutions in the country. The delegation included Lieutenant Colonel Ahmed Al Muhairi, Lieutenant Colonel Jassim Al Awadih, and Captain Hamad Humaa Khamiss.
