Abu Dhabi Police arrested late night yesterday (Friday) two suspects in the shooting incident that took place at Al Jaimi area in Al Ain, where two Omani nationals were killed.
The statement issued by Abu Dhabi Police stated that (S.M.B, 31 years) and (S.A.A, 43 years) were shot in their vehicle bearing a Qatari plate number. Unknown individuals deliberately rammed their vehicles into the victims’ car, fired at them, and fled the scene. The Police said that they have initiated search operations and investigations following the incidents.
The police found today the two vehicles used by the suspects, and mentioned that investigations are underway to identify more details about the incident. Another statement will be issued later following the completion of investigations.
Abu Dhabi Police announced on its social media accounts (Twitter and Facebook) the details of the incident immediately after it took place, to reassure the public and prevent rumors. Community police patrolled the area to reassure the residents that there are no threats to them, and eliminate fear among them.
