In cooperation with the International Institute for Planning and Administrative Development, the Training Department at the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters organized a training course in writing and editing news websites for the journalists at the Security Media Department, at Holiday Inn in Abu Dhabi.
Abdullah Shaheen, a media expert at the General secretariat of the Office of His Highness Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, stated that the significance of these courses lies in following up with news. This is among Abu Dhabi Police’s priorities to develop its mission and raise professional media awareness. He added that Abu Dhabi Police is keen to improve the capacities of its journalists who participate in important roles to monitor achievements, and provide remarkable journalism.
Dr. Ahmed Habib, member of the Teaching Committee at the Higher Institute for Literary Studies in Alexandria, gave a lecture during the event. The course included theoretical lectures regarding the importance of electronic media in journalism, alongside practical applications on designing websites. It also shed light on the challenges facing electronic media.
