Security Guards Department
honors distinguished sportsmen
Brigadier Faris Khalifa Al Farsi, Director General of Security Guards and Special Tasks honored at his office 29 distinguished sportsmen who participated in sports season 2010 and achieved excellent results, on Tuesday.
Al Farsi congratulated them for their performance and results. He affirmed the importance of sports activities for their physical fitness and health as police personnel, who are supposed to be fit at all times.
The Directorate General of Security Guards and Special Tasks won excellence shield at the directorates’ general level, while the Department of Government and Diplomatic Establishments Protection won the sports shield at the departments’ level. Some of Special Tasks and Government and Diplomatic Establishments Protection Departments won the first places in a number of single and group games.
