Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior; recently held a ceremony in his office, to honor H.E Rashid Nasser Al Dhaheri, UAE Ambassador to the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
His Highness delivered thanks and appreciation certificate as well as a community service medal to Al Dhaheri, in recognition of his national and humanitarian services for the benefit of police work. He also lauded the efforts exerted by the Embassy, in cooperation with the competent authorities in Nigeria, to ensure the release of the citizen, who was kidnapped in January 2012.
The ceremony was attended by Major General Nasser Lakhrebani Al Nuaimi, Secretary General of the Office of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior; and by Colonel Saud Al Saadi Director of the Secretariat of His Highness, the Minister.
H.E Rashid Al Dhaheri , UAE Ambassador to Nigeria, expressed his appreciation and thanks to Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior for granting him this medal, which he regards as a national decoration on his chest. He pointed out that the wise leadership’s directives to its embassies abroad, confirm that its main priority is to provide better services to citizens, as well as providing them with help and assistance.
