As part of a graduation project for university students, Abu Dhabi GHQ, represented by a number of its affiliates in Al Ain city, organized an exhibition on traffic awareness and Police functions, in collaboration with the United Arab Emirates University (Female students section).
A number of sections from Al Ain police participated in this exhibition, namely; the Al Ain Traffic and Patrols Department of ADP Traffic and Patrols Directorate; the Emergency and Public Safety Department at the General Directorate of Central Operations; the Crime Scene Department; the Security Inspection Department “K9”; and the Social Support Department.
Maj. Salah Abdullah Al Humairi, Chief of Al Ain Traffic and Patrols section, indicated that such participations enhance communication and cooperation with the various social sectors. They aim to introduce police functions; spread the traffic culture; and raise traffic awareness among all segments of society.
He added that the Al Ain Traffic and Patrols Directorate displayed the Traffic Patrol (the Camaro), as well as the traffic education patrol. It distributed gifts and awareness brochures to students and responded to their inquiries. It also provided a large display screen to show traffic awareness documentaries, and to explain the safety requirements to drive motorcycles safely.
