The Police College participated in the seminar titled: “Social Media: Impacts on the Military Sector.” It was recently organized by the Nation Shield Journal at the Armed Forces Officers Club in Abu Dhabi. Major General Matar Salem Al Dhaheri, Chairman of Administration and Human Resources of the Armed Forces GHQ, along with a number of senior officers and media representatives were present at the event.
This seminar was organized to highlight the growing impacts of social media on the military sector. It placed this issue under the spotlight, so that any concerned party will have the opportunity to review the positive and negative aspects and dimensions of this issue.
A number of officers and 50 undergraduate students of Batch 24 were present at the event. The Police College’s participation in this seminar was remarkable; it was a result of the administration’s belief in participating in the events and activities held by the police and military leaderships. Their leadership ensures community participation and builds on recent and significant updates in a world that has become increasingly advanced.
