Al Ain Traffic Section called on motorists and road users to be cautious while driving when visibility levels decrease due to fog formation.
 
Major Mohsen Saeed Al Mansouri, head of the section, urged motorists to abide by traffic rules and drive cautiously when fog starts to form to avoid accidents occurred due to lack of attention and tailgating.

In such conditions, motorists are advised to keep fairly long safe distance from their vehicles and those in front, and stop their vehicles away from the traffic flow if fog gets thicker, to avoid road accidents.

They are also advised to know the weather forecast before starting any journey, to avoid fog and choose the right time for travel.

They are requested to abide by the speed limits set on the city roads and highways, exercise caution at the road turns and tunnels, drive attentively to avoid car slipping caused by poor friction of tyres on the road surface.
