The Higher Command Committee for Naturalization, Residency and Ports, formed according to the ministerial decree Number 226 for the year 2010, held its sixth meeting at the premises of the General Directorate of Residency and Expatriates Affairs in Ras Al Khaimah, under the chairmanship of Major General Mohammed Al Awadhi Al Menhali, Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Naturalization, Residency and Ports Affairs.
A number of topics on the agenda have been discussed during the meeting including following up of the strategic activity for the assistant undersecretary sector for naturalization, residency and ports and activation of the project management office.
The attendees have also discussed the minutes of the coordinative committee for expatriates affairs last meeting and its recommendations. They have also studied the observations made on the online visa system and ways to take adequate measures ensuring the efficacy of the new system.
The meeting was attended by directors general of residency and expatriates affairs across the country, as well as the members of the Higher Command Committee for naturalization, residency and ports, and higher committee secretariat members.
