Al Mafraq Juveniles Care Centre celebrated the graduation of two courses on “procedures for dealing with juveniles” n# I and II, organized by the Centre in collaboration with the training Department at Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters, with the participation of 57 officers, non-commissioned officers and individuals.
The two courses come in line with the initiative of Specialized Training for individuals dealing with Juveniles, to rehabilitate and qualify them according to the adopted international standards, in light of the agreements on Children’s rights.
The ceremony was attended by Colonel Mohammad Saif Al Zaabi, Director of the Punitive and
Correctional institutions of Abu Dhabi Police; Lt. Colonel Ahmad Al Kharraz Al Zaabi, Acting Director of the Juveniles Care Centre, Head of International Coordination at the Human Rights Department of the Ministry of Interior, and a number of officers from the Center.
In his speech on the occasion Al Zaabi has emphasized that training is an essential element to advance police work and promote the efficiency of the human cadres, providing them with the new sciences and knowledge to keep up with the rapid changes taking place in our time.
Al Zaabi expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Center’s Supervising Committee and to all those who contributed to the success of these two courses.
At the end of the ceremony, Colonel Al Zaabi accompanied by Lt. Colonel Al Kharaz distributed the certificates to the graduates.
