The Ports Security Institute at Abu Dhabi Police celebrated the graduation of two specialized courses, namely; the “Detection and Security Inspection” course using computer-based training simulation (CBT) and the “Prints” course. The one-week courses were attended by 36 participants.
Head of the Training branch, at the Ports and Airports Security Police Department, Lt. Colonel Naima Salem Awad, indicated that organizing training courses embodies the Abu Dhabi Police’s strategy which aims to develop the skills and competencies of its police and security cadre, as per international-best standards, to pursue further excellence process witnessed by Abu Dhabi Police.
She added: “13 members graduated after completing the ‘Detection and Security Inspection’ course, to enhance their skills in the various sciences related to computer-based training simulation (CBT). Another 23 members, including 5 from the Republic of Lebanon, graduated after completing the ‘Prints’ course to improve their functional and professional competencies, In order to carry out their entrusted duties to the fullest.
At the end of the graduation ceremony, Lt. Colonel Awad distributed certificates to the graduates, urging them to apply the knowledge they acquired at these courses in their work.
