Colonel Mohammed Saif Al Matar Al Zaabi, Director of Al Wathba Punitive and Correctional Institution, attended the graduation ceremony of the first batch of students who took part in the courses, workshops, and specialized training lectures, which fall under the specialized training initiative on how to deal with detainees and convicts, organized by Specialized Training Institute of Punitive and Correctional Institutions Department.
Colonel Al Zaabi, pointed out that the Punitive and Correctional Institutions Department has launched this initiative in the framework of supporting and activating the strategic priorities related to the optimal use of human resources, in order to achieve the strategic objective which aims to meet the needs of Abu Dhabi Police for qualified staff.
A total of 40 officers, non-commissioned officers and individuals benefitted from this course, and received extensive four-week training in both scientific and practical fields; where emphasis was placed on the main requirements of work and the diversity of responsibilities at these institutions among other matters.
At the end of the ceremony, the Punitive and Correctional Institutions Department Director distributed the certificates to the participants in the course and wished them success.
