The Civil Defense General Department in Abu Dhabi celebrated the graduation of trainees from the specialized course on fire protection and safety. The course, which was carried out in cooperation with the Civil Defense Institute, included trainees from the Civil Defense General Department in Abu Dhabi. Among the trainees who participated, eight females are already specialized in inspections related to fire protection and they received the top three positions at the course’s conclusion.
Captain Engineer Salem Hashem Salem, from the Civil Defense Department, said: “The three-week course covered both theoretical and practical aspects. Trainees were educated on measures of protection during inspections. This course reflects the strategy of the Ministry of Interior to develop human resources. Such variety of courses instills more confidence among trainees and teaches them that what they do is a national duty to save people and property, which must be protected in our precious homeland.
”
Trainees visited different locations under construction, in addition to some other finished locations, to view best practices in installing safety systems in buildings.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, the graduates received their certificates.
