Emergency and safety dept. wins rope pulling championship

 

Abu Dhabi Police Emergency and Public Safety Department won the first place in the Central Operations Director General’s Championship for Rope Pulling recently organized by the Clubs and Sport Activities Department of Abu Dhabi Police.

The championship, held at the police officers club, was attended by Colonel Ibrahim Al Shamesi, deputy director of Vehicles and Drivers Licensing Department, Colonel Hamad Al Kheli, chief of Air wing Section, Lt. Colonel. Aref Al Shamesi, director of clubs and Sport activities department and big audiences from the participating departments.

Operations Department got the second place while third place went to the Vehicles and Drivers Licensing Department.

Colonel Al Shamesi said that disseminating the sport culture among the Abu Dhabi Police personnel is one of the requirements of police work. Such a championship, he added, encourages police personnel to raise their fitness thus increases their performance.
