The Capital Police Directorate organized a blood donation campaign for its staff and customers, in collaboration with the Blood Bank of Khalifa Medical City. Colonel Rashid Ali Al Mesmari, Deputy Director General of the Capital Police Directorate, expressed his thanks to the 45 donors, who took part in the campaign.
Al Mesmari indicated that the campaign, organized by the Media Department and Public Relations at the Directorate, aims to promote cooperation and cohesion between the Directorate and community members, in order to support the needs of society in all aspect of life.
Moreover, Al Mesmari expressed thanks to the Blood Bank of Khalifa Medical City for its participation in the campaign, pointing out that it will be organized annually at the three centers affiliated to the Directorate. He also underscored the importance of such blood drives, to secure sufficient amounts of blood for the country’s hospitals Blood Banks, stressing the keenness to enhance the police’s community role.
The Khalifa Medical City campaign organizers praised the significant turnout from police officers willing to donate blood. They also commended the Capital Police Directorate’s kind initiative.
