The Drivers and Vehicles Licensing Department in Abu Dhabi Police organized a blood donation campaign for its staff and Department customers, in collaboration with the Blood Bank of Khalifa Medical City. The campaign was launched with a blood donation from Colonel Ibrahim Nasser Al Shamsi, Deputy Director of Drivers and Vehicles Licensing Department.

The campaign included educational tips and instructions to all of the Department’s members, on the importance of the blood donation. The campaign attracted a large number of people, as the number of donors was more than 35 donors.

Colonel Ibrahim Al Shamsi noted that this campaign aims to enhance cooperation and communication between the Department and the public, in order to support the needs of society in all aspects of life. 

He emphasized the readiness of the Department to participate in all the upcoming events, which will be organized by the Khalifa Medical City’s Blood Bank. He added that the Department has been keen to organize a blood donation campaign every year, based on the firm belief of Drivers and Vehicles Licensing Department of the need for all community members to participate in this humanitarian noble project, to support the blood supply in public hospitals and replenish the blood bank resources.
