Lt. General Saif Abdullah Al Sha’far, Undersecretary at the Ministry of Interior honored the Regional Director of the Great Britain-based Serious Organised Crime Agency (SOCA), Roy Aflak at the ministry this morning. Mr. Aflak was awarded the First-Class Medal of Security Cooperation and a Recognition Certificate, on behalf of Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior.
This recognition comes at the conclusion of Mr. Aflak’s five-year term in the country to honor his efforts and cooperation with the Federal Anti-narcotics Directorate at Ministry of Interior, his participation in bringing success to many significant international anti-drugs operations, and his contribution to enhance mutual cooperation between the two forces in the technical and training fields.
Major General Khamis Saif bin Suwaif, Director General of Criminal Security; Colonel Saeed Al Suwaidi, Director General of the Federal Anti-narcotics Directorate; Colonel Hussein Mahmoud Al Awadi, Acting Head of Public Relations Department; and a number of officers from the ministry were present at the event.
