The Traffic and Patrols Directorate General of Abu Dhabi Police, represented by the Al Ain Traffic and Patrols Section , urged motorists not to crowd in the event of traffic accidents; indicating that this is regarded as a negative and dangerous behavior.
Major Salah Abdulalh Al Humairi, Chief of the Al Ain Traffic and Patrols Section emphasized that crowding at accident sites impedes traffic and prevent patrols’ members and rescue teams from carrying out their duties. “This is an unacceptable behavior that reflects a lack of awareness among community members who crowd and close the streets leading to accident locations,” he said.
Al Humairi added: “Despite the repeated calls issued by the various police entities in the country, urging community members not to crowd and gather at traffic accidents’ locations, some still insist on doing so. This, in turn, leads to further human and material losses.” Concluding, Al Humairi expressed his hope to see this unacceptable behavior completely eradicated from the Emirati society.
