Al Ain Police celebrates the water world day

 

Al Ain Police Directorate celebrated the World Water Day which is being celebrated under the slogan “water for cities: Responding to urban challenge”, on Tuesday at the Al Bawadi Mall in Al Ain.

A number of government and private institutions in Al Ain have participated in the celebration.

Major Saif Hassan Al Mansouri, chief of public relations section at Al Ain Police affirmed the keenness of the directorate to take part in various national occasions, to enhance community partnership, to support the journey of safety and security, and to preserve national wealth.

He noted that the slogan of the celebration embodies the significance of boosting awareness of water management, and of protecting natural sources from the effects of rapid population growth, urban expansion and climate changes, among other factors.

He pointed out that the section has organized a two-day police exhibition for security and traffic awareness on this occasion. The exhibition attracted large audience in both morning and evening periods. Brochures and traffic pamphlets as well as copies of police magazine (999) were distributed to the visitors.
