In cooperation with the Tawam and Jones Hospital in Al Ain, the Medical Services Division of the Medical Services Department in the Al Ain Police Department hosted the Breast Mammogram Mobile Unit in front of the Al Ain Police Club.
The program included introducing the audience to the history of the disease of breast cancer , its causes, the risks of being diagnosed with breast cancer, the age categories vulnerable to it, in addition to panel discussions before and after registration in the program, the curing process as a result of being equipped with awareness, and the importance of early detection.
A number of specialists from the Medical Services Department and Tawam Hospital gave presentations on the disease, and the best methods of prevention by self-observation and lab investigations in order to detect it before it spreads in the body. Awareness publications were also distributed to female police staff and their family members present at the program.
Notably, this is an annual program organized in line with the strategic plans adopted by the Ministry of Interior, in order to provide the best services to the staff including spreading awareness about the disease among employees and their families.
