The Abu Dhabi Police, represented by the Department of Information Technology and Communications has been awarded the Middle East prize for the smart card for "The Best Use of Smart Cards in Government Regulations.”
Six global public institutions have competed for the award in the Middle East. The awards have been distributed in a ceremony held in the Emirates Palace Hotel organized and supported by Terrapin and Emaratech.
Colonel Anwar Al Mulla, ICT Director said that the award represents the culmination of workers’ efforts in the achievement of the employee cards project reflecting the quality of services and operational efficiencies in administration. He added that it represents the vision of the police leadership in the implementation of modern technologies to enhance police work.
Captain Ibrahim Al Saayri, Director of the project assures that the project aims to use the cards in applications and in different police programs stating that the smart cards are characterized by their high and accurate security qualities.
