The Clubs and Sports Activities Department at Abu Dhabi Police GHQ organized a poetry evening titled “Don’t sleep with grief my boy”. The evening, held at the Police Officers Club in Abu Dhabi, was organized in collaboration with Al Reem Model School for Girls.
The evening started with the recitation of the Holy Quran and the national anthem. Then, the students of Al Reem Model School presented an operetta titled “Dad and Mom”.
The evening included an awareness program “Passion of the Heart”, on the importance of raising children to love and obey their parents; in accordance with the noble ethical principles, values and customs of the UAE society, and in line with the modern methods of child education. Moreover, the program featured awareness tips for parents, on the importance of adopting scientific and proper methods to educate their children, to instil love for the homeland in their souls, and attachment to the Arabic authenticity. It is noteworthy that a number of elite specialists in the field of social education and parents attended the evening.
Also attending were Major Raja Yusuf Ahmed, head of Social Activities Branch at the Clubs and Sports Activities Department; a representative from the Abu Dhabi Education Council and the Principal of Al Reem Model School for Girls. The evening witnessed a significant turnout from parents, exceeding 200 people.
