The Medical Services Department at the Abu Dhabi Police Headquarters introduced employees working for the Ministry of Interior and the Abu Dhabi Police Headquarters to the ways of maintaining healthy teeth; discussing how to protect them and practice good oral hygiene.

The Medical Services Department held a series of educational lectures on dental health at the ministry and a number of Abu Dhabi Police directorates. Captain Dentist Armanoosa Fadhl Ahmed; and First Lieutenant Dentist Ali Ahmed Al Hamoor, addressed oral and dental health, and they explained to ministry employees the best ways to clean their teeth, the types of toothbrushes and the role they play in cleaning teeth, including the availability of special toothbrushes for people with special needs, and also discussed toothpaste.

The two lecturers addressed the correct healthy ways to brush teeth and tongue in order to protect from gingivitis, cavities, and dental plaque. They also demonstrated how to use dental floss, toothpicks, and mouthwash, in addition to the effect that the food and smoking have on the mouth.

They also addressed bad breath and teeth odors, and the reasons behind them, in addition to cavities and other common diseases, and how to prevent them and treat them.

Gifts, publications, educational brochures were distributed to the attendees at the conclusion of the event.
