The Abu Dhabi Police discussed the overall framework of the 2013 strategic plan in a workshop held by the Strategy and Performance Development Department under the title: Strategic Planning (internally referred to as the Launch).
The workshop was inaugurated by Colonel Faisal Sultan Al Shuaibi, Director of the Abu Dhabi Police Strategy and Performance Development Department, and was attended by deputy director generals, a number of officers, non-commissioned officers, and experts. The workshop was held at the Fairmont Bab Al Bahr Hotel in Abu Dhabi.
The workshop overviewed the general observations on SWOT & PESTEL and environmental analysis reports in addition to strategic challenges faced by general departments.
Captain Obeid Al Rumeithi, Head of the Strategic Development Division of the Performance Development Department, presented the overall framework of the 2013 strategic plan in accordance with the methodology of preparing, updating and reviewing the strategic plan. He also explained about the role and importance of strategic goal coordinators in the upcoming phase.
The workshop also included a number of topics related to strategic planning; the participants showed a high level of interaction with the various topics discussed in the workshop.
