A number of employees at the Abu Dhabi Police Financial Affairs Department have joined the Japanese style continual improvement course to obtain Kaizen certification.
The course was attended by Colonel Ahmed Saeed Al Badi, deputy director of Financial Affairs Department and heads of sections and subsections.
They were trained on Kaizen which refers to activities that continually improve all functions and services offered to the customers. The course included standardized activities and processes while aiming to eliminate waste.
Kaizen, Japanese for "improvement", or "change for the better" refers to philosophy or practices that focus upon continuous improvement of processes in manufacturing, engineering, and business management. It was first implemented in 1948 by Japanese expert Masaaki Imai.
