Abu Dhabi Police has carried out a training program on "Combating Auto Theft Crimes" in cooperation with German Saxon State Police. The training course was attended by police officers from the Criminal Investigation Department in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Al Fujairah.
Colonel Thani Butti Al Shamesi, Head of the Training Department at Abu Dhabi Police’s Human Resource Directorate General, noted that the Training Department seeks to continuously benefit from different police training programs from around the world, with a view to apply the finest international standards and to keep up with the latest developments in police training activities. He also explained that training police staff members and raising their competencies is one of Abu Dhabi Police’s top priorities aimed at enhancing its staff members' performance.
Colonel Al Shamesi said that the training program on “combating auto theft crimes” provided practical examples of investigations related to auto theft cases. It also shed light on several international practices in auto theft crime prevention, in addition to models of investigation, and modern methods of combating auto theft crimes.
