Colonel Ahmed Suleiman Al Shehhi, Deputy Director of the Government and Diplomatic Premises Protection Department at the Abu Dhabi Police Directorate General of Guards and Special Tasks, honored the Government and Diplomatic Premises Protection Department's sports team. The accolade acknowledges the team, which participated in a number of sports activities, ranked first in the General Commander Championship, and won the Sports Excellence Shield for the 2013 sports season.
Colonel Al Shehhi presented appreciation certificates to the team members, valuing their sports achievements for the past season. He also wished them further victories in the coming season, and urged them to pursue further excellence in sports.
He noted that the attention dedicated by the Police leadership was instrumental in encouraging the sports team, and motivating its members to achieve excellence and success. “Sports are highly beneficial for police staff members, as it helps to maintain police officers’ physical, mental and psychological health,” he continued.
For his part, Major Mohammad Ahmed Al Zaabi, Sports Activity Officer at the directorate, cited the sports team achievements during the past season, which included ranking first in 9 championships, in third position in 2 championships, and in the fourth position in another championship.
