Brigadier Fares Khalifa Al Farsi, Director General of Guards and Special Tasks at Abu Dhabi Police, honored a number of employees who contributed effective and positive efforts that helped the Director General Office receive the ISO 14001 for Environmental Management Systems and the OHSAS 18001 certification for Occupational Health and Safety management systems. The honoring took place at the directorate’s headquarters.

Brigadier Al Farsi lauded the unconventional role played by the honorees, who exerted diligent efforts over the course of one year to provide the necessary requirements for the award and its implementation mechanisms, which include maintaining the health and safety of employees of the Directorate General of Guards and Special Tasks, and spreading awareness and knowledge with respect to safety and security. This honoring is an incentive to support the directorate’s efforts to achieve its goals in receiving additional awards and certificates. It is also an appreciation of employees’ efforts and creative ideas in this field.

Meanwhile, the Government and Diplomatic Premises Protection Department at Abu Dhabi Police celebrated a significant achievement of obtaining the Environmental - Health & Safety Standards OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001.The celebration took place at the department’s headquarters, and was attended by Colonel Saleh Saeed Al Rashidi, of the Government and Diplomatic Premises Protection Department, deputy head of the department, and a number of officers and employees.

Colonel Al Rashidi praised the efforts of both the work team and the Strategic Planning Branch, which contributed to receiving the two certificates.
