The Emergency and Public Safety Department, at the Central Operations General Department of Abu Dhabi Police, represented by the Al AinBranch,carried outa successful evacuation drill at the Al MustaqbalInternational Private School in Al Ain.
According to the training scenario, the Al AinEmergency and Public Safety Departmentreceived a notification on theoutbreak of a falsefire at the school building. The fire and rescue trucksand ambulance crews rushed to the site and evacuated the students and staff to the assembly point predetermined by the school.
Moreover, and also as part of the training scenario, upon carrying out a head count, it turned out that a person was still inside the building. A fireman rushed back inside and evacuated him in a record time. He was then transferred to the field hospital on site, to provide him with first aid.
The school’s administration praised the efforts exerted by Abu Dhabi Police to carry out practical drills, which contribute to enhance the safety of community members and acquaint them with the necessary measures, accordingto the safety and prevention requirements.
