The Ports Security Institute at Abu Dhabi Police celebrated the graduation of 24 participants after completing two one-week specialized courses in detection and security inspection using computer-based simulation training (CBT).

Lieutenant Colonel Naima Salem Awad, Training Branch Manager at the Ports and Airports Security Department indicated that training Police personnel embodies the Abu Dhabi Police’s strategy aimed at enhancing security and safety in the country.

She added that the Institute always seeks to keep abreast of all developments in the field of training,  by resorting and hiring highly skilled and competent lecturers, with a view to increase the trainees’ levels of performance. She noted that the 24 graduates were acquainted with the inspection systems used in airports, along with other training fields.

During the ceremony, attended by a number of of officers and officials from the Department, Lieutenant Colonel Awad distributed certificates to the graduates.  Moreover, she called on the graduates to maintain the quality of police services and endeavor to achieve further excellence witnessed by the police sector in the country, by applying the knowledge they acquired during the courses’ program in their work, and sharing it with their colleagues.
