The Ports and Airports Security Department at Abu Dhabi Police celebrated the graduation of 119 participants from the Department after completing seven specialized security and police sciences courses. The courses, which spanned over one week, were held at the Ports Security Institute at Abu Dhabi Police.

Lt. Colonel Naima Salem Awad, head of the Training Branch, indicated that the training courses embody the Abu Dhabi Police’s strategy to qualify its human cadres and develop their competencies in the various tasks entrusted to them, to promote security and stability in the country.

Lt. Colonel Awad praised the efforts of the participants and their interaction with the course programs. She urged to apply their newly acquired knowledge to provide high quality police services to citizens, residents and visitors alike.

She noted that a total of 119 participants attended 7 specialized courses at the Ports Security Institute, namely; two courses in “Detection and Security Inspection using Computer-Based Training (CBT)”; one “Airports Security” basics course; “First Aid and Public Safety” course; and the “The Art of Skillful dealing with superiors and subordinates” course; as well as other specialized courses.

At the end of the ceremony, Lt. Colonel Awad distributed certificates to the graduates, calling on them to show further dedication and perseverance to achieve more police excellence.
