As a part Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters’ training plan, 346 male and female recruits are to participate in the fifth qualification session in order to be promoted to the rank of Lieutenant. The course was organized by the Police Schools Department and held at their Suwaihan location.
In an introductory lecture, Colonel Waleed Al Shamsi, Director of Police Schools Department, presented the training plan and the subsequent stages of the academics and training within the session. He said, “The recruits will receive lectures in various police and legal sciences; and training in physical fitness, marksmanship, and various military subjects. Training methods are to qualify and develop their skills as leaders in the field of police work, and are in accordance with the latest training methods.”
The trainees showed significant enthusiasm for the courses. These courses represent a quantum leap for them on both a personal and professional level, as the courses promote their development in a myriad of military, scientific, and personal skills.
