The Law Respect Culture Bureau (LRCB) at the Secretariat General of the Office of Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior is intending to send out 2.4 million text messages throughout this year to the members of the Ministry of Interior to raise their legal awareness.
“The messages will focus on legal matters related to police work, and will educate police members about the main rules and regulations of the police and the state, especially the penal law,” said Captain Dr. Salah Obeid Al Ghoul, Director of LRCB.
This program is part of a larger project being prepared now by the LRCB including initiatives such as issuing a series of legal publications for the members of the police, he pointed out.
The program will also include a set of training courses and workshops to be held soon nationwide.
“These initiatives form part of the strategic goals of LRCB to raise the legal awareness of the community in general and police members in particular,” he concluded.
