Within the public plan to guarantee the community safety against fire hazards, the Civil Defense Department in Al Ain and the Emergency and Public Safety Division of the Central Operations General Department at the Abu Dhabi Police, recently carried out a successful evacuation drill at the Al Ain Traffic Division.
According to the training scenario, the false fire alarm sounded at the Al Ain Traffic Department’s building at 9:00 A.M., within one minute the security and safety staff informed the operations room about the fire alarm in the building, and then started to evacuate employees and clients leading them to the assembly point for their safety.
The civil defense teams and ambulance crews rushed to the site in record time. While traffic patrols at the location were securing traffic in the area, the civil defense teams were carrying out their tasks.
Major Mohsen Saeed Al Mansouri, Head of the Al Ain Traffic Division, praised the cooperation of the police forces, each in their specialized field. He said that the Traffic and Patrols Directorate is participating in regular intervals in such practical trainings to enhance safety and increase readiness in cooperation with concerned authorities.
