“Rapid Reaction” and Civil Defence extinguish electrical appliances warehouse
The Civil Defence and Rapid Reaction Teams of AP Department of Emergency and Public Safety were able to dose a fire erupted in an electrical appliances warehouse in M3 Sector at Mussafah Industrial Area, at 14;00 hours.
Colonel Mohammad Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Acting Director of Emergency and Public Safety who supervised fire fighting operation said “The Teams rushed to the site of fire as soon as they received the report from the Central Operations Room. They started fighting the flames and surrounding the warehouse to prevent fire from spreading to the nearby warehouses. The fire fighting and cooling operations took three hours. No casualties were reported in the incident”.
The warehouse contained electronic and electrical appliances which are believed to have caused the fire.
